Qassem Soleimani was a veteran Major general of Iran who have had great influence in Iran and in the middle east region as well. He was the head of the Iranian revolutionary guards and force AL- Quds. He was responsible for promoting Iran's influence in the region. Like in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen, etc. He was indeed very famous army officer of Iran and was very close to top leadership of Iran e.g to President of Iran Hassan Rouhani and supreme leader of Iran Ayatullah Khamenai. He was martyred on 3-1-2020 by U.S. Drone strike in Baghdad airport when he was coming out of airport along with Muhanddas Al bghdadi and 5 other people by the order of president of U. S. Donald Trump. America considers him a terrorist and threat to American interests in the region and alleged him to be the reason of killing some Americans in the region of his influence. But in Iran he was considered a national hero and 2nd most powerful and famous man in Iran. He has had the full support of government of Iran and people of Iran as well. This was clearly shown by his funeral processions in Kerman where thousands and millions of people took part in his funeral procession. The top leadership of Iran has promised revenge of their most significant amry major general's death from America. In counter reply on twitter trump pointed out 52 points which USA can target of Iran which includes cultural sites of Iran. But Iran is determined to take revenge as and when it is appropriate. The point to notice that both countries don't want to indulge in full scale war but they will keep fighting strategically. This move of martyring Iran's top commander which has seriois implications for world and middle east as well considered by most people as Trump's move to win elections which are going to held in 2020 in U.S. Some people e.g. twitter trends see it as the start of world war 3. But this is not going to happen. Because people of both countries don't want war. But these preemptive strikes by U.S. and counter strikes by Iran can escalate conditions of middle east and this could be the start of U. S. to get out of this region. As the Iranian commander was martyred in Iraq so Iraqi government is also alongside Iran. They pledged to pull out U.S. forces from this region of middle east.
